Welcome! My name is Hector Benabe. Born in New York City, I was always fascinated by the entertainment industry as kid. I would volunteered in school's production, act in plays, and also co-write scripts. whatever it was in front of the camera or behind, i would always be active in production. During my time as a Film student at Valencia college, I was Fortunate to gain many experiences in all department from preproduction to post production. I worked as production coordination, Boom Operator, camera assistant, assistant editor just to name a few. Coming to UCF as a Radio/ Television student, it gain me more knowledge of the television aspect of the entertainment industry. I have A.S Film Production Technology and certificate in Technical Theater. I am currently working on my BA in Radio/Television a My creative Journey into the entertainment has just began

PERSONAL STATEMENT
My interest in film making dates back to the early years of my childhood. i used to make up stories and act out the stories with my toys. As i got older i took my creativity to the next level by filming random stuff with a kids camera. through the years i volunteered in the year book at my high school, taking pictures and making stories out of them. It seemed only logical that I pursue a career in filming.
While i began my AS in film production at Valencia, I had the opportunity to be exposed to many productions while being in almost all of each department; from pre to post production .Not only did i gain experience in the film program. I also gain friends that Journey with me in this adventure in the next chapter of life.
Attending UCF for radio and television has gain me more knowledge and other side of the entertainment filed. I believe each eye has a gift of art. it is the way you interrupt and tell the story that makes filming an art form.
